Automobile Prices

Automobile price quotes are available from multiple resources. The MSRP of an automobile is the manufacturer's suggested retail price of a car. Setting a standard price regulates dealerships of a particular make and model of car. Prior to MSRP suggestions, there were no guidelines by which to sell cars.
Visibly pasted on the surface on an automobile, the sticker price is often well above the MSRP, making the price negotiation a less painful endeavor for dealers as even if sticker prices are bargained down, the dealer still makes a profit. When purchasing a new or used car, potential buyers beneift from doing research on the original MSRP, information that can create more room for the comsumer to negotiate price with a salesperson.
One source of information that is helpful for comparing sticker prices to MSRP prices are automobile blue books. These books also may be helpful for research pertaining to used automobile prices. Among research guides are the Kelly bluebook (containing up to date specifics of cars and the MSRP), Edmund's car guide (containing details on car prices and performance statistics), CarPoint's Rate Your Car, and J.D. Power's Juno Auto Choice.
