Car Kit

A car kit includes a car to be assembled. A kit can be purchased for a few thousand to tens of tousands of dollars. A custom built, rare remake of an automobile is the end result.
A kit car is a replica assembled by a mechanic or a car enthusiast, with many of the parts coming from a donor vehicle--a vehcile that no longer runs but has avaialble parts in working order. The most popular and well known kit car is the dune buggy. This car is built on a Volkswagen body and uses other VW parts. Many of the kit cars may be built on VW bodies and built and driven successfully for many years.
Popular car kits include the Shelby cobra car kit, Lamboghini car kit, the classic Camaro car kit and the classic Porsche car kit. There are also concept-oriented kits such as electric car kits. Car kits don't have to be fabrications of cars from days gone by. There are innovative and self designed car kits that an enthusiast may design and build independently and successfully.
Kit car ingredients include everything from the ground up, including the rough body, the floor, the frame, the mechanics, the engine and transmission, tires and rims, aesthetics and accessories, paint job and many other necessities needed to complete an automobile. Some kit car enthusiasts pay upwards of $15,000.00 and then resell the car for many more thousands of dollars.
